BRUINS BLOGGER

It’s without question that Patrice Bergeron is getting his game back as he helped the Bruins defeat the Blues by a score of 4-2.  Bergeron assisted on all four goals scored by the Bruins players, that was Mark Recchi, Blake Wheeler, Milan Lucic and Marco Sturm.

Tuukka Rask was solid between the pipes for the Bruins and is giving Tim Thomas a run for his money, which could be good for the Bruins.  Typically players will amp their game when they feel their position threatened.  Rask has now won three straight games for the Bruins and is 5-1 in his last six starts.

Mark Savard, who returned to action tonight, was even and played 14 minutes.  Lucic recorded his second goal since returning to play and was an effective player on the ice.

What can you say about Bergy?  He really seems to have found his game as he leads the Bruins now with 18 points in 23 games.  This guy tore it up as an 18-year-old kid and is just now showing signs of his return since the concussion.

The Bruins are now one point behind the division leading Senators and have reeled off three consecutive wins.

Next game is Wednesday in Minnesota to take on Chuck Kobasew and the Wild.  It will be interesting to see who gets to the nod.  I think Thomas will if he is feeling 100% just because Tuukka has played four straight games.

The Bruins are sure to shoot up the standings if consistent play like we’ve been seeing the past few games is kept up.  The Big Bad Bruins are baaaaaaack!

I don't think it's any coincidence that the Bruins are again scoring with Lucic and Savard back in the lineup again. They're looking alot more like the team that finished as the #1 seed in the East last season.
